Analyse your Swing with AI

As one of the owners of The Links Lounge, the customer naturally expects us to know everything about the seven GOLFZON virtual golf bays systems we have and the associated GOLFZON Global app, but to be honest we are still learning too.

This was made very evident in our second week of operation when one of our customers who plays off scratch, started enthusing about the AI Swing Analysis and asked me what I thought of it. I did admit straight away that I had not seen it yet (though was tempted to pretend otherwise).

He showed me where in the app it had recorded a number of his swing videos from various points in the round that he had just completed.

Selecting one, he then hit the ‘Complete AI Swing Video Report’ button and after 10 seconds or so, it produced a spider diagram rating this particular swing against four factors

·       Kinematic Sequence

·       Swing Posture

·       Rhythm

·       Swing Path

His own report identified that he was arching his back at a certain point meaning his centre of gravity was not in the right point at impact. He subsequently text me after that weekend to say he took that information and used it on his Sunday round where he found himself ‘flushing’ every Iron shot.

Each of these four factors has an explanation of where the AI believes improvements can be made (or not) and is accompanied by a video explaining the point made in more detail.

I have a particularly ‘interesting’ swing whereby I have a loop at the top of the backswing, but nonetheless the AI did manage to analyse my swing and from this suggest improvements and in some parts reassure me that my swing does have some redeeming features.
